ANGEL OF THE NORTH MAQUETTE - SCULPTURE GARDEN, NGA LAKE FORESHORE

Client: National Gallery of Australia

This sculpture is a one-tenth scale version of the monument created by artist Antony Gormley located at Gateshead, United Kingdom. The original sculpture stands over 20 metres in height, has a wingspan of 54 metres, and an overall structure weight in excess of 200-tonnes. The engineering specifications called for resistance to wind forces of 160 km/h and a reinforced concrete off-form plinth.

The sculpture will be located in the near-shore zone of the Sculpture Garden opposite The Carillion.
